How to Get Construction Leads Free - Key Steps to New Business

Free is a tricky concept because if you want something free money-wise, well, it is going to cost you time-wise. The only way you are not going to have to invest any time or money is by having an amazing referral system. But if you are watching this video, you want business, you want to keep your guys busy during the slow periods. Let’s go over a few things that you, as a construction business owner, can do to increase the amount of jobs on your schedule.
Let’s first discuss two things you can do in person each day to generate free leads for your business. The first is to network. Build connections between other local business, shake hands with people at trade shows and pass out your business cards. If you can build a solid network with those in and around your industry, you are bound to find some new business. Secondly, get out and about, knock on doors. Go door-to-door in local neighborhoods and around local businesses. Don’t be pushy or just sales oriented, we want to build up a relationship that will last for when that homeowner is ready to get started on a project. All you need to do is introduce yourself and your business, then outline the services you provide. This will go a long way, especially in the construction industry. When someone hires a company to come into their home and change it, trust is a key factor in the decision process.
Now getting out and banging on the pavement is not for all of you. Let’s also look at two ways in which we can generate free leads for your business in a more behind the scenes fashion. In other words, things you can do online to boost your business. One technique is to get on Facebook and Pinterest. Start posting exciting pictures, design ideas and current projects your company is working on. People love looking for new and fresh ideas for their home and if your company can provide, they will not have to look any further. Make sure you offer value and tips, not just any old, grainy picture. The other, more powerful way to generate business in the long run is Google Search Engine Optimization or SEO. If you can get your business to rank near the top of Google’s search results for your specific industry, your phone is guaranteed to be ringing off the hook.
