Best General Contractor Websites
Hello everyone, I'm Joe Burnich with Big West Marketing. If you don't know me, I deal with marketing for Service Based Businesses. Today we will focus on General Contractors and o over what makes a great website for this specific industry. A great website is one that gets phone calls, which in turn means the most money for your business. We want a website that converts, a website that reaches out and is functional. We want a website that gets people to pick up the phone and call.
A good website is clean and simple, but sleek and filled with the proper information. Start with having your services easily found and laid out. Try to limit your services to a manageable amount, we don't want a list of 50+ services. This will only confuse and frustrate potential clients. A good website will showcase your company's brand in just seconds: What you do, how you do it and how to get in touch. This means having a sharp logo with a corresponding name. Furthermore, having a large Call To Action such as "Call Now" or "Free Estimate Call Today" paired with a phone number is proven to generate higher call volumes. After all, we are in the business of getting that phone to ring.
Just as important is having a Mobile Friendly website, one that a potential customer can easily browse on his or her tablet or smartphone. Visit Mobile Contractor Websites for a closer look. A good mobile site will have a phone number available to tap or click. We want this to be brain-dead simple! People are not in the business of reading long forms anymore. They want something tangible, something they can click or tap.
Also include an "About Us" page where people can become familiar with you and your team. This builds on that relationship of trust, one that is of the utmost importance in this industry. We also want to be sure to include unique content and crisp, sharp photos that will add to the professionalism of your website and in turn, to your brick and mortar business.
Testimonials are a great way to add to that trust between you and a potential client. Think about how many times you look at a review on Amazon before making a purchase. Reviews are the new word of mouth and adding them to your website will make a big difference. Along those same lines, linking to your other Social Media pages will make your presence more concrete and familiar with customers.
